Dan Savage’s three simple words—“it gets better”—reach into the hearts of our LGBTQ communities and inspire them with the message that darkness can give way to a brighter future. This moving show, produced by the Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles, brings to life real stories from lesbian, gay, transgender, genderqueer, and straight allies from across America and infuses them with dynamic musical numbers. The performance of It Gets Better is the capstone of a week of residencies that highlights anti-bullying, tolerance, and acceptance through community roundtable discussions, high school visits, It Gets Better videos, and creative exercises.
