Brought up on North Uist in Scotland’s Outer Hebrides, Fowlis is a proud standard bearer for Gaelic music and culture. She was awarded Gaelic Singer of the Year and Album of the Year (twice) at the Scots Trad Music Awards, and in 2008 became Scotland’s first Gaelic Ambassador—“Tosgaire na Gàidhlig.” Your children and grandchildren will recognize her proud Scottish voice singing the theme song on Disney Pixar’s Brave. Fowlis and band gift audiences with what the BBC Radio describes as “beautiful messages from another world.”
